The UST Project seminar, taking place in Gothenburg from April 9 to 11, 2024, convenes stakeholders and experts under the theme “Sustainable Tourism Perspectives from Europe.” The three-day event offers a comprehensive exploration of sustainable tourism practices.
Day 1 of the seminar is dedicated to engaging stakeholders from the countries of the project partner organisations. Through a series of interactive discussions, workshops, and presentations, participants will explore the fundamental principles of sustainability within the tourism sector. Central to this exploration will be an in-depth examination of the UN SDGs and their significance in guiding sustainable tourism practices.
Moving into Day 2, the seminar shifts its focus towards guest speakers and their contributions to the sustainable tourism landscape. Experts from Sweden, like Kristina Lindström and Joakim Forsemalm, will share their insights and experiences. Through case studies and inspirational lectures, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how sustainable tourism initiatives have been successfully implemented.
As the seminar progresses into its final day, Day 3 will be dedicated to reflection and action planning. Building upon the knowledge and inspiration garnered from the preceding days, participants will engage in facilitated discussions and group activities aimed at distilling key insights and identifying actionable steps forward.
